Growing up in the beach-side suburbs of Toronto, my early memories of fun are split between endless horizons on sunny shores, and chasing wildlife in the nearby marshes at dusk.
Inevitably, youthful play would evolve into moonlit bonfires at the bluffs. Dinner parties with just the right company, where in a tender haze of freely poured wine, stolen glances and lingering hands, unfolds an impromptu introduction to swinging. Relationship anarchy ushering in thrilling new forms of intimacy. Discovering BDSM. Exhibitionist sex on psychedelics. An unshakeable habit of falling for older men— not always the wiser, but with a treasure trove of unconventional life’s experience.

Being empowered to lead this unapologetic life, I value the time to nurture creative hobbies, pursue learning without urgency, and prioritized peace of mind. I can get lost in the process of a painting or pencil sketch, spend a rainy day writing poetry by candlelight, pick up a neglected instrument, or study a new language (currently Japanese!). I’m able to promote my health and well-being through yoga and strength training, scenic walks or hiking with my dog, and seasonal gardening.
Despite my quaint hobbies and leisurely artistic rhythm, I’ve led a life of bold choices and libertine hedonism. I have camped in the deserts of Africa, climbed bamboo forested mountains in Thailand, sampled rare vintages on a thousand year old vineyard in Spain, and gone butt-naked snorkelling in the Caribbean.
With every return from my expeditions into wild abandon, came the evermore illuminating discovery— life as the lap of luxury.
